Hello!
My name is Abhik Hasnain. I make games and build tools in Godot. This portfolio is a small collection of prototypes I've built over the past two years. They're all being actively worked on and playtested with expected release dates in 2026.

More About Me:
As a full time master's student finishing their MA in Digital Humanities from the University of Alberta, I'm constantly juggling time, money and energy, hoping to find the breathing space for extended indie game development. My immediate solution to this is to pair up with friends who're just as passionate about games!
I'm currently a part of two tiny indie game studios. I run Space Is For Screaming with Adeline K. Piercy and we're making a co-op, split-screen narrative adventure game called Ether 5. In April, 2026 we received a microgrant from the Interactive Fiction Technology Foundation to design a standalone engine and a toolkit for developing split-screen, multiplayer interactive fiction.
For Maayer Dowa Studios, with Atik Sameer and Arifin Shumonto, I'm developing a game about managing a tea stall in urban Bangladesh. Besides that, I recently formed a game worker cooperative with Adeline Piercy, Eleanor Young and June Yao.
Outside of development, I love reading sci-fi- poetry and prose. I'm also leading a non-profit advocacy group for Bangladeshi game developers under the name "Bangladesh Makes Indie Games". Our first project is an ethnography and a documentary about Bangladeshi developers, their experiences and challenges. Our focus is in developing open and accessible region-specific frameworks of game development born out of resource-scarce environments that challenge classical Euroamerican models of game creation.
Some of my favorite games are: Citizen Sleeper, Mutazione, FAR: Lone Sails, The Swapper, NieR: Automata.
